GamiFIN 2018 is very pleased to announce the second keynote speaker of the conference, Associate Professor Richard N. Landers!

Richard N. Landers is an Associate Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, USA. His research program has focused on understanding how new internet-enabled technologies can be best used 1) to improve the quality and difficulty of accurately measuring human characteristics, 2) to improve learning conducted via the internet via interactive experiences, and 3) to improve or create new internet-enabled social scientific research methodologies. This has resulted in a substantial research steam in the area of gamification, where his focus has been on developing a gamification science with rigorous, valid theoretical models and clear, practical implications in the areas of assessment and learning.
