Dr. Fiona Nah is an internationally recognized scholar in human–computer interaction (HCI), computer‑mediated communication, flow experience, Neuro‑IS, and applications of generative AI in business. She currently serves as a Professor of Information Systems at the Singapore Management University (SMU), following previous faculty appointments at the City University of Hong Kong, Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and Purdue University. She is a Fellow of the Association of Information Systems (AIS). She holds a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia and B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the National University of Singapore.
Dr. Nah’s work has been cited over 18,000 times, placing her among the world’s top 1% most‑cited researchers. She is best known for her contributions to enterprise systems adoption and flow in digital environments. Her recent work expands into metaverse research, generative AI, and EEG‑based analysis of user experience, positioning her at the forefront of emerging human‑technology interaction paradigms. Dr. Nah serves as Editor‑in‑Chief of AIS Transactions on Human‑Computer Interaction and holds editorial roles across several major journals in the field. She has earned numerous distinctions, including the Top 50 Asia Women Tech Leaders Award (2024) as well as a Fellow and Senior Scholar of AIS.
