Kristian Kiili to keynote at GamiFIN 2021!
We are excited to announce that Kristian Kiili will keynote at GamiFIN 2021!

Kristian Kiili is a professor of Game-Based Learning at Tampere University, Faculty of Education and Culture, Tampere, Finland. Prior to his current post, he headed TUT Game Lab research group in Tampere University of Technology. He has over 15 years of experience from game-based learning field and he holds the title of docent in user centered design. Kiili has strongly contributed to game-based learning research, and produced widely used theoretical models informing the integration of instructional, motivational, and game design aspects. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and results of his research have been applied also in award-winning learning products. In recent years, Kiili has headed the development of a math game research environment that can be used in different research settings from classroom interventions to neuro-physiological laboratory studies. Currently, his research focuses on game-based math learning and assessment, content adaptation and scaffolding, educational game design, and emotional and motivational aspects of learning.
