ACCOMMODATION FOR THE CONFERENCE

GamiFIN participants are kindly asked to make their own hotel reservations and pay for their accommodation at the hotel. To assist you, the GamiFIN organizing team has secured an allotment at the Hotel Pyhätunturi and the Hotel Kultakero Rakka. Both hotels are next to each other and within a short walking distance from the conference venue.

You can find the offer that best suits your planned length of stay.

In Hotel Pyhätunturi, the extra bed fee for an adult is 42,50 €/night, and 27,50 €/night for a child under 12 years. Baby cots are 15 €/booking.

By Air

  • Closest airport: Rovaniemi Airport (RVN)
  • Travel time to Pyhä: approx. 1 hour 45 minutes by car or bus
  • Daily flights from Helsinki and several other European carriers during the winter season

By Train

  • Nearest stations: Rovaniemi or Kemijärvi
  • Night trains available from Helsinki (approx. 10–12 hours) 
  • Bus transfers connect directly to Pyhä

  • Direct bus connections from:
    • Rovaniemi Airport

  • Service operates multiple times daily in winter

Bus tickets:

  • Matkahuolto bus service. The bus schedules are published at the beginning of the month (March 2027) and are planned to align with Finnair flights’ landing and take-off times.

  • Drive via major roads E75 or E63
  • Distance from Rovaniemi: approx. 120 km
